Oral Sedation

Oral sedation involves taking a halcion or valium pill one hour prior to your dental appointment.  The oral sedative allows you to reach a level of comfort higher than that of nitrous oxide alone.  This type of sedation usually results in amnesia or you not remembering all of the procedure.  Dr. Burke has a special permit to allow him to use this method effectively.  This type of sedation works well for single procedures such as extractions or root canals.
